Member Since: January 2009 Posts: 1 Send Message	Im from/living in Ireland and have discovered that my great x 2 grandfather Herbert Sutton was born roughly 1856 Kent, Gillingham according to 1861 UK census. How would I go about obtaining his birth cert without having to travel? His father's (John) occupation is listed as Staff Sargent Dept. and on Herbert's marriage cert its listed as Comptroller dept. Would this mean John was a civil servant of some discription? Thanks in advance.
