I'm trying to find out more about my ggrandfather's family. He was Joseph Cooper born c1848 in Cty Dublin. He was a mariner who came to the Isle of Man where he married my ggrandmother. On the entry in the Parish Register on the occasion of his marriage, his father is given as Thomas Cooper, Hostler of Bray Cty Dublin. I know there were cousins, mostly famale I think, two of whom were Teresa who ended up in London and Kathleen who ended up in the Isle of Man. Kathleen was probably born about 1880, neither of these sister married but there were others, one of whom was a nun. |
