THOMAS COOKE*(b1781-d1835) a Coachman, I have his burial at Loughborough, looking more esp. place of birth... father of seven inc. the next Thomas Cooke** (birth c1823 a Loughborough birth and place date as given in 1871census) a butcher married Eleanor Stoppard in 1846 father to twins Aaron & Thomas the same year then, David, Betsy, Arthur & Robert). This Thomas** and his twin sons were Omnibus proprietor and drivers & cabbies(census 1871), were Cab proprietors Leicester. The(1823)Thomas** died 1875.
Going forward and laterally .....................................................................
I have son Arthur at Plymouth in 1891, Pawnbrokers employee, married Ada Annie Houger and as a widower at only 32 yrs old, two daughters Lilian & Ethel at 6 & 7 yrs old..........My line GGF Robert , journeyman/butcher, the youngest the above group moved through London, married Ann Baker 1882 in Lambeth, to Portsmouth where he traded as a butcher, sons (all served in WW1), Leslie, Thomas, Courtney, Dudley, daughters, Dolly & Florence Hilda. All replies gratefully received will be acknowledged. I posted this 3 years ago, just edited & moved it up!!
