Need to regroup. Mariann's mothers name was Dickinson. Her father's name was Alfred. He was the son of George. I think I need to establish siblings for Alfred and a wife for George prior to 1881. That will take care of the names. Marriage/birth certificates I would suggest.

I have just spent a very unfruitful hour searching for a marriage in several other states in Australia. I had made the assumption that because they arrived in and settled in one place they may have been married there. That was really dumb because the ship they travelled on (on separate dates!!) docked at other ports before arriving at their embarkation point. You can fill in the scenario yourself. However, like most ideas it turned out to be incorrect. So back to the drawing board. And this time it really is goodnight.
