Hello again, Could you possibly find any info on the Openshaw name on my side of the family.
I have this from the 1881 census...
Thomas Openshaw 1838
Agnes Openshaw 1844..

plus a list of their children (6), I am trying to find info on their son Alexander Openshaw c1878, could you possibly look up 1891 and 1901 census for me. I know that Alexander had a son called Fred around 1898. Fred married a Lena Barlow.
I have been trying to find the Openshaws from our family and am having no luck.
Thanks Lorraine

Gaynor Report 19 May 2009 18:49

Hi Jackie,

I wonder if you could help please with looking for death records?

I have found my ggGrandfather Joseph Martin born c 1851 on a couple of census records.

In 1891 he is living in 12 Stewart Street, Barrow in Furness. He and his wife Eliza Jane have 6 children (Mary, Jane, Joseph, Louisa, Margaret and Sophia). In 1911 they have moved back to Belfast, Ireland and have 1 child living with the (Elizabeth). The record says No. of children born 7 and No. children still living 4. I know that Joseph (born 1880) was still alive in 1911.

Can you find any death records for any of the children between 1891 and 1911, please?

Thank you very much for your help,
Gaynor

Hello Jacqueline,
If you have the time and don't mind please, I am looking for the family of Sophia nee Hibbens and William Martin whose daughter Mary Annn was baptised in Southfleet Kent on Dec 7 !823. I found this on the IGI but have confirmed the baptism is on City Ark. I think Mary Ann married my g- great grand father Frederick Warner in 1855. This is on the IGI but have confirmed from daughter's birth cert that she was born Martin.
They could be on the 1841 and 1841 census. William was a labourer in 1823.
I have to go to work and don't know anymore at this stage as only got this far last night! Back later. Thanks, Kate

Hi Jacqueline

Thanks for your offer.

Looking for any information about Bennetts in Cargins, Tandregee, County Armagh, Ireland. Robert b 1848 came to Australia and married Susanna Buck. His father, also Robert, b 1827 married Elizabeth Redpath. Any information on them or their ancestors would be appreciated. Realise a lot of records may have been lost in Nth Ireland.

Cheers
Beverley
