Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew how to go about tracing German roots/records/ancestry.
My grandmother Edith Elle Kremzow was born in Berlin, Germany in 1929. She has 1 sister, called Eva, b.1928 in Berlin. Their parents were Bruno Kremzow b.1905 and Hedwig Gerlach b.1905 & d.1953. I also know that brunos mother was called Martha and Hedwigs mother was called Mary. Bruno also worked in thelocal town house in Germany.
This is what my grandmother has told me, unfortunately her memory is not that good and can't remember much, as she left Germany when she was 20. She also married my grandfather in Germany (he is English) before moving to the U.K.
Has anyone got any tips on tracing your german roots, e.t.c.
Thanks
Kevin
