I have a bith certificate with my name PETER FRANKLAND BORN 396 COMERCIAL ROAD STEPNEY other that i am lost (THANK YOU FOR TIME) peter

As Claire says SUSAN may not have been born in England/Wales
so even the marriage in EPPING ( 1965 ) for a SUSAN R may be her !!!!

Best as mentioned Peter buys his Birth certificate to CONFIRM Susan's name . ( she may have a second name)

We need more data to be SURE

Peter thinks his brother/half brother was born in the north east. He doesn't know anything about his grand parents or whether or not his mother had brothers or sisters. He has tried Social Services (although I don't know to what extend) without any success

I think Peter should approach Social Services or someone similar & ask for a copy of his file. His Mum could well be Scottish or Irish & have come to London to give birth.

To contact a family to ask if Susan is his Mum would be wrong & could cause a great deal of upset & distress

Not sure what you mean if it is the one we think it is her middle name begins with J not R, have to nip of to bed soon, when did you find the marriage having no luck with this brother Mark, wonder if she had him after she married and it was in Peters notes.

How you doing ? it does seem the Susan J is the most likely that would mean she was born in Lancashire, but she moved to Stepney.

Cannot find Mark birth in either place, wonder if she was married by then, or he has the wrong first name.

Right you where born 1961, do you know how old your Mother was then ?
I cannot find a Mark Frankland born in this time frame in Stepney, how sure is he of the facts ? could his Mother have married by then ?

there are 46 in other trees on this site but the vast majority can be discounted because of the dates

Peter is new to searching and doesn't know where to start. His surname is Frankland and his mother Susan was MMN Frankland as well. So I guess she was unmarried at the time. Peter was brought up in childrens homes and doesn't know anything about his past family but believes his brothers name is Mark, so this is going to be very hard to trace. I think it's a long shot that some one may recogise something from this post

can anyone help. trying to find my lost family i was born in stepney in 1961(my mothers name was susan) then i should have a brother born maybe 5/6 years later
