I am having great difficulty finding any more information on my maternal gt grandmother.
On her marriage certificate in 1879 she was called Elizabeth Mary Ann Mccannah aged 19 living in Queens Road Portsea Hampshire, her father was William McCannah shoemaker, she married a James Buckner.
On her death certificate in 1919 she was aged 56.

On my grandmothers birth certificate Elizabeth stated her maiden name was Golston.

All the census' from 1881 - 1911 show her born in Southampton, prior to that she was in Ireland with her husband.

I can find no other records for Elizabeth nor her father William so any help would be gratefully received.

The other help I would appreciate is I know James Buckner was in the army and was stationed in Ireland and also in Canada, can I obtain his army records on line?

Many thanks

Jill
