i not ready to give up just yet ,i rang south shield ,they gave me a number they may do me a look up to see who lived in the house after the 1911 cences ,yet to ring.
im looking into franks first marriage think the may have had a child a frank im going to order the cert ,if frank is his son i also think i have a marriage for him to a nina allison 1940.
i think the death cert i hold for a william francis atkinson is my frank the same little village and the correct dob as frank .
the only prob i have is that an E Atkinson is on the death cert the widow of the deciced ,but its another avenue to look down .

i have looked and double looked ,but im sure you will prove me wrong .
The death cert i have for a
william francis atkinson died 1940
aged 56 that would be the correct age for the william i am looking for ,so i have looked for a william francis atkinson birth 1884 within 2 years there are none anywhere in england so i am hoping you agree would you have a look .
if this is the case the only prob is our william married again after gertrude died in 1929 ,the name on the death cert is an E Atkinson widow .

but jokin aside it is poss that charles was making it up about a sister but i dont think so he had lots of stories about our lou, or the family took another child in as there own as they did in them days adoption was not recorded while later was it so no way of finding out .
