My husband said I should do this for a living, but there are so many people who are willing help for nothing I don't think I'd make much money.
I just love doing it so I shall soldier on regardless.

Hello Rootgatherer and Catherine, not much further on I'm afraid apart from Annie Moore's marraige, she wed Alexander Stanners on 28.3.1906 in the district of Blackfriars, Glasgow, her occ. was Commercial Clerk, he was a Ships Steward, her address 269,High Street, Glasgow. His address 129, New City Road, ( rootgatherer , is this where you work )?
Where the usual signature of the minister it states Warrant of Sheriff Substitute of Lanarkshire.28.3.1906.

Off now to do some more digging.

Everything you find is one less thing to tick off the list, so keep hunting and you never know.
Have you tried the 1911 census for Alexander? I was thinking that maybe he went down to England in which case he could be on there.
Keep positive and one of these days he'll turn up when you're not even looking for him.
