Could anyone please tell me what type of information would / could be on medical records in the 1890's?

I know my great grandmother died in the Liverpool Royal Infirmary in 1896 as i have her death cert.

My mission has been to find out where she was born in Ireland, all other avenues exhausted ...so now im clutching at straws.

Is it possible this info could be on her medical records? (which i now know are kept in the Main Liverpool Library)

Thanks for any help!
Lorna
