missing grandmother

I am trying to find out information on my grandmother Elsie Allport nee Gainey. Her father was Samuel Gainey and was a sailor according to her marrage certificate. I cant find where she was born but was told by my farther that her mother was Spanish and she was brought up in and orphanage in Shropshire by nunns. Her address given on her marrage certificate was the Rectory Kenley, Salop. I have seen on an other web site that her birth date was 1st December 1891, in Spain, but cant get in touch with the person who listed the informaton and that Samuel Gainey her farther may have been born in Not, Grez Umgebung Styria, Austria but again it has not been posible to contact he person who had this information. I hope some one can help |
