I'm currently researching my paternal grandfather's family, they lived for several generations in Carlisle. I would be interested to hear from anyone familiar with the family names.
My grandfather was JAMES DORAN, born 1877 in Carlisle. He had 7 siblings, ANN DORAN, born 1860, ELLEN DORAN, born 1863, ROBERT DORAN, born 1868, FRANCIS DORAN, born 1871, WILLIAM DORAN, born 1874, SARAH DORAN, born 1880 and MARGARET DORAN, born 1892. (Margaret may be a grandchild of James' parents, however, she is listed as a daughter on the census info that I've found.
My grandfather's parents were both born in Carlisle, JOHN DORAN, born 1830 and SARAH (last name unknown), born 1835.
