I can only find two extracted births for Robert Thomson in fyvie one in 1857 with parents names Ann Milton, father George Thomson the other one was for 1874 so is not him. But i will keep these birth details to one side for a mo,until i have more info on him. I'm going to try googling him and his wife to see if they come up on there Thanks Blue

Well Vera, thought you would like to know,I did google them and they have popped up in an Esslemont family tree, what a surprise! The only thing that's wrong is his date of birth, but the other info is correct except they only have the child that links to their tree and Margarets death is 18th and not the 31st,perhaps it was registered on the 31st This is what they have ,with the date of death perhaps i will be able to go to Scotlands people and find him on there, also on the cert it should say the parents names Thanks Blue
Robert THOMSON was born abt. 1848. He married Margaret MCGREGOR 07 June 1874 in Gateshead, Durham, England. He died 23 February 1906 in West North Street, Aberdeen. Margaret MCGREGOR, daughter of John MCGREGOR and Agnes TAYLOR , . She died 18 December 1892 in Aberdeen.

Vera, yes it is indeed, just found Ann Milton and George Thomson's marriage in Turriff in 1855,so the birth we think is the one for Robert ties in with those dates
I'm just pasting all this into word and will have a go at checking it all out with sp later,i ran out of credits and hubby has the card!
but i really think we are on the right track,it's fab Blue
