Im trying to find any information on my grandfather, John Baxter was also known as (Winchester) at some point, he was married to Alice Sanson(m) 20th October 1917 they had 10 children Margery, Reg, Ronald, Elsie,John, Irene(bubs),Fred, Dor, Glady's and William my Dad. Alice was later married to Arthur J Phillips, dont know if they were divorced or he had died. Was also told he was born in a workhouse? but have no evidence of this as yet. On marriage certificate says john was 44 so year of birth c1873 and he was Contractos Carter, residence at time of marriage Bohemia House Godshill I O W His fathers name was John Baxter and he was a Farm Labourer |
