Hi,

My GG Uncle John Whitehead Andrews (Whitehead was a middle name not a nickname) was born in 1877 in Hinxton,CAM and is located Hinxton on the 1881/1891 census and London as a footman in 1901. I can't find him at all on the 1911 census - its a bit difficault to locate someone if you don't know the exact details!) and my GUncle says that he worked at paddington road goods yard and later at a cider bar or pub in or near the Farringdon road. I have tried to find a marriage cert. or childrens birth certs. to no avail (am not 100% sure that he was married or had kids) - if I could only locate him in 1911 OR a marriage cert. I could start to find out about him - my GUncle met him with his Dad (they were mistaken for Police and cleared the bar!!!!!) at the cider shop/pub so that must have been just after WWII but doesn't remember any other details. Can anyone help in any way?

Regards,
Darren.
