I would be delighted if anyone could help me unearth some info regarding my 5x gt grandfather (William or maybe Francis Farquharson).

My 4x gt grandfather was William (jnr) and in his East India Co. papers there is a baptism declaration from 1758 giving his father as William Farquharson of Yateley. I then have another source which suggests that his father was actually Francis Farquharson of the Finzean branch but who had mistakenly married a second time while his first wife was still alive in Scotland - poor memory??

William jnr had a sister Mary who married John Fendall in 1790 and there is an article on Wikipedia suggesting that Mary's father was actually John Farquharson and giving her birth and death dates. I'm not sure if it's possible to contact the originator of that article but it suggests to me that somewhere there is another source of information about Mary and possibly her father.

Any ideas?
