Moyra Report 6 Feb 2009 23:43

My 3 x gr grandparents immigrated to Scotland sometime before the 1851 Scottish Census. George Fleming b c1781 NI and his wife Margaret b c 1785 Tyrone Armagh.
I have been able to trace 3 sons George b c1820, Richard b c1824 Faven Achetraugh?? and my gr gr grandfather Joseph b c1829 Armagh NI and possibly a Thomas b c1816 (yet to be confirmed).
I've been unable to trace females due to not knowing christian names, but common male christian names were...John, George, Richard, Joseph, Robert, William, James and Thomas.
It appears the family may have gone to Lanarkshire before spreading further a-field to Ayrshire, Renfrewshire and Midlothian before going to Wemyss in the late 1890's.
My gr grandfather William Fleming b c1862 in Auchinleck Ayrshire then left Fife with his wife and family for NZ in the mid 1920's with a major part of the Banks family from Fife.
If you think we may have a connection I'd love to hear from you.
Kind regards
Moyra
