Dear Andrea,
I don't know if you can help where others have unfortunately failed..?

I am, descended from PATRICK MADDEN - my x 5 grandfather. I know only that he was an Irish Catholic immigrant from Limerick.

He appears on the 1841 census - married to Johanna Madden (ne; MARRA).... living in Marylebone, London.

do you think you might be able to help me at all?
many thanks and best wishes
Debra xxx

Hello Andrea, Thank you for your kind offer. I was wondering if you could put the following details into this site to see if anything comes up for the birth of MAY CAIRNS, born, March 1900. Her Parents names were John and Margaret Cairns, Margaret's MS appears to be Hynes? Many Thanks Sue

Hi
Following nearly 30 years searching for my Great grandfather both by a relative (pre internet) and now myself, I have just discovered from the 1911 census where in Ireland James was born.

Could you possibly look for a birth certificate or parents marriage certificate for me please.

James Davis born Portaferry Co Down I think 5/4/1864. The family info said Donaghadee, but thats not too far away is it?

Father was George Davis dob unknown so dont know where he has from neither. Got his name from James' marriage certificate, who came over to Manchester UK sometime between 1864 and his marriage 1891.

George was, from family info, a customs/ coastguard or harbourmaster in Belfast that's all I know. Having looked around his wife may have been Sarah Downard.

If you could find any certificate/info or point me in the right direction I would be grateful. All inspired again now I have found where he was from!
