Hi all,

Went to my local record office yesterday to have a look for a mining accident which occured in Flint North Wales, while scanning through the papers was reading about a Typhoid outbreak in Flint town 1888, and how they were trying to stop it from spreading.

One particular family had several members of the household infected and the doctor had written to the newspaper about living conditions as in most of the windows in the house were fixed so no air could circulate, and the owner insisted on keeping his donkey indoors! We are talking two up & down in August, the mind boggles!
