Ferguson born 1783 Callander Scotland

Hi,

Could anyone shed some light on John Ferguson b 1793 (from death cert.) born in Callander, Perthshire, Scotland according to several census reports. I have been looking for his parents to no avail, The death cert gives his parents as Donald or Dugald Ferguson and his mother as Janet McPhee.
John and his wife Janet McGregor/Mcgrigor had many children but NO Donald or Dugalds. His first son was Peter, second son John, first daughter Janet. second daughter Mary.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
