Can anyone enlighten the reason to change surnames from
Mc Carty the name of my Gt. G/Father - Thomas Mc Carty? His daughter was known as Emily Carter on both the wedding and death certificates and only on some of the children's birth certificates, with the name Mc Carty.
Are there any members who think they have the same line or link to either names?
