Find Ancestors

I have been on Freebmd and I keep getting `no records` message ! yet this is my mum who I am wanting the records for,and she did exist!!

Her name was Josephine Keegan b.10th Sep.1930 Sunderland, mmn Reynoldson.
She married Charles Nicholas in 1950,Don Valley, Yorkshire.
She sadly passed away in May 1978/9. Don Valley, Yorkshire
I seem to remamber she may have been registered under Reynoldson,so tried that too and got nothing at all. Is it possible that there is a problem with freebmd tonight?

Have just looked on the records for 1930 and she doesn't appear.
Have also checked 1929 & 1931 and nothing.

Thankyou both lesley and cassandra, this is mad! I am absolutely stumped on this.
I had never tried to get her records before as I had the info from Dad and her sister that I needed,but as dad has sadly just been diagnosed with alzeihmers and her sister died in november,I wanted to get the proper records ready to do a memory book for dad to try to help him with his thoughts etc when he is struggling.
I don`t know what to think ?!

I just tried to get my own birth record just to check on mums maiden name,and it definately says Keegan.

Your not going to believe this but Catherine isn't there either.

Were these the only two children, ? If so I think you might have to research the possibility that Catherine & Josephine were Adopted by their "Parents". Possibly they were never told or otherwise never said anything.

Did the two sisters look alike?

Well now, yes of course Thorne would have been the nearest Reg.office !
The date has puzzled me though- no doubts I must have entered them in to the tree the wrong way round and Michael must have been the youngest not catherine...sorry Lesley.
So at least we know there is a record of one !!

I just found a marriage record for their parents joseph keegan and lily reynoldson and they did not get married till may 1948!!!!! in Don Valley and her name was Bond/or Reynoldson!!
