Cannot find him in the 1901 census however he would have been about 16 so could easily have joined the army at 14 as a boy so you wouldn' t necessarily find him on the Census.

Hi again Lesley
I have another one for you thats proving to be a bit of a pain!
Its for Daisy Ing nee Landers.
I have found her marrying my gt. grandfather Frank in 1904 and have found her on one census (1901 I think from memory) as as servant in Frindsbury, Kent. I have searched everywhere I can think of to find her d.o.b. and can't find any record of her ever being born! There appears to be a large Landers family with children all born around the same time living in the Medway area which would sit nicely but there is no sign of any Daisy.
I have looked on IGI and found nothing, on here and found nothing and nothing on the BMD index unless I am missing the blooming obvious - and well lets just say that is a likely possibility!
Thanks again for your help

It states on the 1901 census that she was born in Frinsbury in c 1880
1901 England Census about Daisy Landers Name: Daisy Landers Age: 21 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1880 Relation: Servant Gender: Female Where born: Frindsbury, Kent, England Civil Parish: St Margaret Ecclesiastical parish: St Peter County/Island: Kent Country: England Frindsbury is in the registration district of North Aylesford or later on Strood.
I strongly suggest you buy the marriage certificate as I personally do not think this was her name - I think she just used Daisy as she liked it. It happened (none of my relatives were known by their real names and it was a shock when I found out that!!)
This will give the fathers name & occupation and also the Witnesses which normally are brothers sisters etc.
There is this one:
Births Mar 1877 (>99%) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lander Daisy Jane Bromley 2a 384
There is this one in the 1881 census:
1881 England Census about Daisy J. Lander Name: Daisy J. Lander Age: 4 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1877 Relation: Daughter Father's Name: Michael Mother's Name: Fanny E. Gender: Female Where born: Hayes, Kent, England Civil Parish: Hayes County/Island: Kent Country: England Street address: Hayes Street Education:
Employment status: View Image Occupation: Scholar Registration district: Bromley Sub registration district: Bromley ED, institution, or vessel: 29 Neighbors: View others on page Household Members: Name Age Michael Lander 38 Fanny E. Lander 31 Daisy J. Lander 4 Do you know if they named any of their children Michael or Fanny?

Hi Lesley,
My name is Ann and I live in Queensland, Australia. I have been doing my family tree now for a couple of years but I am stuck with this last generation of the Fishwick's.
Can you please try to do a look up for me to see who are the parents of Thomas Fishwick born 1690 in dilworth, Ribchester, Nr. Preston, Lancashire, and Thomas died in Dilworth in 1743.
I know he had two sons, Richard born 1725 my direct line, and another son Seth born 1723 in Dilworth also.
Thomas was married to Grace Kellett born about 1693 in Bolton Le Moores, Lancashire.
Any information would be appreciated. Many think's Ann Johnson (Nee Fishwick)

Thanks again Lesley
I wondered about the Daisy from Bromley (goodness me that sounds like a tacky radio show phone in!) but don't think they are one in the same. What I do know is that she had 2 children called Violet May (my Grandmother) and Bertie. Now I have found a Bertie Landers born in Frindsbury in 1888, so I am wondering is 'Daisy' was the sister of this Bertie. Am off to see if I can find anything else about 'Bertie' and if he has a sister b. 1880 or there abouts.
I have ordered a copy of the marriage cert. to be certain.
I don't blame her for using Daisy though - it is a pretty name!
Thanks again
