Is anyone researching the McGrath family - I have some photocopies of deaths certs and a letter to the Wesleyan Church in Ireland amongst my Ashe/Meyer info and I have not been able to work out what the connection is to my family tree. One thing I have noted is that Nowra NSW is common - my ggf Meyer lived there and Elizabeth McGrath was buried there. The letter is written by George Frederick Smith and refers to William McGrath born County Tyronne Ireland in 1841 or 1842; William's mother Elizabeth born at Norton Stewart about 1795; she came to NSW about 1854, died 7/11/1879 and buried in Nowra NSW. Her children being William, Elizabeth, Mary (Murphy), Jane, Lucinda and Sarah Ann. William's father Thomas McGrath remained in Ireland and died there.
If anyone is chasing these relatives I would be interested in making contact. :)
