Auld - Marles? Marriage

Please can someone help me?

My G Grandfather was born in S Africa. Robert P Auld. b 1862.

His father died out there in 1864, David William Auld. Robert came to UK with his mother who died in 1867 aged 28, Victoria Charlotte Auld.

Robert Auld was brought up by his Aunt & Uncle John & Mary Carwell (1871 Census) in London - St Giles.

I believe that Victoria's maiden name was Marles - I have found John Carwell & Mary Marles' marriage 1847, and a Mary & Victoria Marles in 1841 census. But I cannot find the marriage of David & Victoria.

It is thought that David was from Ayreshire, Scotland.

I do not know any details about when they went to S Africa nor where from. I cannot find them on the 1861 census.
