	Hello John, Contact this organisation in Oxfordshire called NORCAP. It stands for National Organisation for Counselling Adoptees and their Parents. They will give you information and advice and you can place yourself on their register of people who wish to be 'found' and contacted when adoption has intervened. They would search their register in case your sister has already placed herself on it. The website is at http://www.norcap.org.uk/adoptivefamily.htm I have adopted my daughter and I have placed her details on that register so that her birth mother could make contact if she ever wishes to do so. They are not a business and are a charity and a support organisation. The English government also maintains a similar register but I am not sure what the restrictions are on that one - I think that perhaps they may not accept sibling enquiries. Anyway NORCAP would tell you about that. I hope this helps. Connie
