I have George b.c. 1535, Nettleslack, ULVERSTON Cumbria England.

I was given this info too: Nettleslack is at Martindale on the southern shore of Ullswater (7miles,12Km long) 2nd largest lake in the Lakes District National Park, Cumbria. Approx 7miles,12Km from Penrith (SW)

I have no idea of Lakes District Geography.

Martin wrote recently: Its just that one bit of that address must be wrong as Ulverston is not near to Ullswater, its near Windermere. A possible explaination is that it could be Witherslack as that is near Ulverston. Ullswater was never in Lancashire either, I think it was in either Cumberland or Westmoreland.

Can anyone clear up the geography of George's birth place?

Thank you
