Is anyone connected to Alfred Dixon who married Rebecca Addy. They had one daughter Norah born about 1889 . They lived at 88 Dean Lane Failsworth in the 1901 census . Rebecca his wife was born it Wakefield Yorks. She had changed her surname from Wright to Addy when her mother Eliza nee Cole was widowed when James Wright her first husband died sometime before the 1881 census She married Dobson Addy and the two children (Rebecca had an older brother Henry born Norwell Notts in 1870. Rebecca was born 1871)adopted his name. Eliza was my great grandmother and Henry my grandfather. I had no idea he had a sister who was a nurse in the lunatic asylum Prestwich in 1891. Really both Rebecca and Henry ought to have been named Wright . Any info much appreciated |
