I am trying to find any relatives of James and Margaret (Breen) McDowall. Both are dead now but they had 6 children, William (Billy) born 1958, twins Carol and Jim 1960, Stewart 1962, Georgina 1964 and Margaret 1967. If anybody knows any information about this family I would love to hear from you.

Welcome to the boards, Jamie.

You may not have noticed that Billy posted that message in 2008.
He is unlikely to be looking for replies here now.

You can try sending him a private message - just click on his name at the top of his post.
If he still uses the email address he registered with GR when he joined, he'll be notified that there's a message from you - and then he may (or may not) reply.

Hi Argyll Gran, I had noticed that and am aware its unlikely he'd see it a
almost 10 years later but I'm at the 'try anything' stage. I messaged him a while ago with no joy, I was hoping this post may be noticed by someone else who may know him? I don't know what else to try.. I have no contact with my Father, and as a result of that there's no contact with the rest of his family. Billy's the only one that appears to have been active on a geneology site ever =(

I appreciate your advice though, i know you mean well. I can understand why somebody may have posted without looking at the littler details,
