I have come up against a brick wall, yet another and a real puzzle. I allways thought my g grandmothers maden name was Taylor as I have what I thought was a birth cert for her which names her as Jane Taylor, born 1846,St George in the East, fathers name James Taylor, mothers name Jane, formally Wallis. I have now got my grandfathers name, born 1884 and his mother is down as Jane formally Wallis.i am wondering if perhaps as James was a musichall commedian if the name Taylor was his stage name and his real name was wallis. Now I do not know what name to be looking for. So while I wait for a marriage cert, year, I think 1863 between g grandmother Jane I am wondering if anybody has any connections to either a James or jane Taylor or wallis. sorry its confusing. many thanks Karen |
