Member Since: August 2007 Posts: 39 Send Message	Firstly thanks to those that helped so far! I am trying to proove/disproove the parents for my ancestor Christina Keir who married George Purvis in Barony, 1841. I have found a marriage between John Keir and Charlotte McDougall in Glasgow, Lanark in 1811 but cannot find the children of them. I am guessing that these two are the right parents as their names fit the scottish naming traditions (I know though that that tradition is not set in stone) Any help would be appreciated as I dont see myslef travelling to Scotland any time soon to look at Parish records! thanks Amanda
