My gt.gt.grandfather is JAMES DAVIDSON SHARP born 1836 Ballymena Ireland. I have no knowledge of his parents but have found a marriage between WILLIAM SHARP and AGNES DAVIDSON in 1832 in Ballynure.
Can anyone tell me where the parish records are kept for this area; how I can find who James' parents were.
There are families of SHARP and DAVIDSON on the Griffiths Land Valuation in Kirkinriola owned by Sir Robert Adair. Can anyone help me find more information from those records?
By 1863 JAMES was in South Africa with the Royal Warwicks Militia. Where was he between 1836 and 1863?
