Ada Moreton born 1885 in Madeley Staffordshire. She was the eldest daughter of Jemima Moreton. Appears on the 1891 census in Madeley with her mother, aunt Lavinnia and cousin Elsie and grandparents John & Martha Moreton. For many years thought she had died in childhood but can't find any death record for her,possible sighting on 1901 census a servant in Hanley Staffs age 15 on index say Ida Meaton on image say Ada Meaton. I have looked for a birth for Ada Meaton and can't find one. So I am thinking this could be her, but need more proof. If indeed she did survive, does anyone know. I would love to know what happened to her she was my grandma's sister. |
