Sherry Report 12 Nov 2008 01:44

Fizul Karim (deceased) would have been approximately 85-90 years old now.
He first arrived in UK from Guyana in approx. 1943, when he joined the RAF. He was in the war as a flight leutenant between 1943 - 1945. Although he returned briefly to Guyana it seems that he was again residing in the UK in 1948, as evidenced by a photograph I have of him in his RAF uniform, dated October 1948.
He was married to an english woman, possibly named 'Joan' and had a son and daughter. The son's name may have been Rashid, daughter - maybe Nariman. They could have been living in Harrogate, Yorkshire in the early 1950's. I also have an aged black and white photograph of Fizul with his young son and daughter, the stamp on the back reads 'John R Petty, Station Square, Harrogate'.
Fizul was thought to have passed away late 1950's early 1960's.
Fizul and my father were first cousins. I would be very interested to hear from anyone related to him - especially his children.
