Hi wondered if anyone could help with the following:

1) Elizabeth Basnett, date of birth 1847, house servant girl only got Stanley in Endon as her address.
2) James Basnett, date of birth 1800, farmer of 18 acres, adress as Endon Edge and place of birth Morton.

I have come across these two people completly by chance, I found that my great uncle John William Simcock, who died 6 months before the end of the 1st world war,his father, William, lived in a Waterfall Cottage(on J.W.s millitary death cert it actually says "farm"), these 2 people actually occupide the cottage in 1841 and 1851 respectivley but I cant work out how the cottage came to the Simcocks.
Any ideas
