Member Since: June 2003 Posts: 36 Send Message	Dear all, this is just a message to let other Grady's know who i have in my tree because im dying to find some brothers and sisters for my John Grady born c1842 Ireland - a tailor. John's father is William mother unknown. John married Helena McCann in 1865. They had 6 children: James Thomas Grady c1866 - liverpool (name changed from jon joseph) Andrew Grady c1867 - Oldham, lancs Maria Grady - c1868 - Wigan, lancashire Michael Grady - 1872 - Halifax, yorks - married Selina Harding John Grady - c1875 - Bolton lancs - married Martha? Margret Ann Grady - c1878 - Bolton lancs They then moved to South manchester where they lived for the rest of their lives. My nana gave told me that Helena was shunned from her family because she married beneath her as her family were very wealthy and it is thought her brothers and sisters may of lived in a grand mannor house in yorkshire? but this is jus a rumour!! But at one point in the 1901 census Helena is alone with her children as John died and also living with her is her nephew jn william Cain. Anyway i hope this thread may ring some bells with other Grady decendants if so please do get in touch! Rachelle
