Dear all, this is just a message to let other McCanns know who i have in my tree because im dying to find some brothers and sisters for my Helena McCann born 1845 Belfast Co Antrim.

Helena's father was Patrick and mother Ann (maiden name unknown). Helena moved over to England and married John Grady in 1865. They had 6 children:

James Thomas Grady c1866 - liverpool (name changed from jon joseph)
Andrew Grady c1867 - Oldham, lancs
Maria Grady - c1868 - Wigan, lancashire
Michael Grady - 1872 - Halifax, yorks - married Selina Harding
John Grady - c1875 - Bolton lancs - married Martha?
Margret Ann Grady - c1878 - Bolton lancs

They then moved to South manchester where they lived for the rest of their lives.

My nana gave told me that Helena wa shunned from her family because she married beneath her as her family were very wealthy and it is thought her brothers and sisters may of lived in a grand mannor house in yorkshire? but this is jus a rumour!!

Anyway i hope this thread may ring some bells with other McCann decendants if so please do get in touch!
