Hi Marion and welcome to tree making.Ok 1st question i need to ask is where was Lucy born?Also did you get her birthyear from her death cert?Reason i ask is the birthyears on the death certs are as accurate as the person's knowledge of the deceased person's age who is registering the death.So some are spot on and others can be quite a bit out.

Also you will need to get the birth cert to ensure the names are correct for parents.Certs are an important part of treemaking.1 mistake and the whole line can be wrong.Have you got any of the birth certs for any of the children of Frank and Mary?

I'm sorry but i can't see him on the 1851.The changes of birthplace and also the transcipt errors on his surname make him a tricky person to follow.

Have you thought about getting the marriage cert to see who father is on that?There are quite a few William Lilley-lilly,liley 's on the 1851-61 all around the same birthyear and Lincolnshire.

Hi Was wondering if you can help. I am trying to trace my nanna lucy's birth parents. Lucy May Hand was born 17th sept 1911, her mother was mary Ellan Ryan. I believe her father to be Frank hand. This i am not sure on as mary and frank married in 1913. (2 years after baby born - bit strange for back then) Was wondering who is listed as lucy's father. My nanna always said she was born wrong side of the blanket, so has got me thinking. I am new to GR and searching and am not sure how to.
Also who is listed as David Anthony Fukes father at birth. He had the name fukes but Robert fukes had died before my father was born, 1st Aug 1948. Robert died 1944.

Michelle, be grateful if you could check 1851 England census. I am looking for William Lilley (Lilly / Liley) born c1849. Depandant on other census you look at he was born Boston (1881 census) or Bolingbroke Lincs (1871 census). I don't know his parents names or any siblings. Only other info I have is that in 1881 he had a nephew living with him who is only 5 years younger than himself (John Lilley). From this I can only presume he is one of the youngest of many children and his brother / sister (John's parent) were c 20 years older than him. Have to also preume his parents would be 40 - 50 years. Any info would help me further research my family tree.

I agree looking at a search on 1911 looks like James could be the father as i did a search for Louisa Ellen Keenor and she was listed as 1900 with Chawleigh Devon birthplace and then i did a search with a James being in the household also and the same record came up of Louisa aged 11 in South Moulton,Devonshire.

I cannot see them on the 1901 as far so if i cannot find them you may have to get some credits to view the record on the 1911 then with parents details i maybe able to find them on earlier census's.

Well at least you have Louisa's future husband for now-found him straight away.

Think the Likely father is James Keenor b. 1867 Coldridge.Devon
His is listed in the same district in 1911.
Found him on 1881, also son of Walter & Ellen. From Free BMD married either Mary Furze or Harriet Smith in 1899.
