Thanks so much for that!! I will copy it all down and have a good route through, its sad that they all were living with different people!!! I have ordered Albert (the dads) death cert also Albert and Carolines marriage cert, i may see if i can track Lilian somehow!!! If you don't mind waiting i will take a look again.I have to go into work tonight and won't be home till near 9pm.I have a few waiting to be done 1st and then will look at your again,may not get round to it till Thurs.I was confused by the 1881.Its poss that John was elsewhere or maybe he was born late 1881?He could have been Margaret's son?Lots of maybe!!!I can't promise you i can solve it but i will have a good look.

Still wondering about the mystery of the marriage of Thomas Reid and Margaret and why Thomas is listed as married to Mary Ann Reid in 1881 and with no child. Is it possible that Mary Anne died and Thomas married Margaret and adopted John ? I am assuming that no divorces were involved as they were staunch Catholics. Have tried looking for death of Mary Ann but wondered if you would have a look for me?

Hi Michelle

Please could you help me find a marriage certificate for John Wilson (1861) born Blyth, Northumberland and Robina Thorburn (1863) born Dunbar, East Lothian, Scotland on her birth cert it says her father is Robert Thorburn. I have found them on the 1881 Census as married with a one year old daughter, living at 3 Beaumont St. but when I have looked the marriage up on Scotlands People it is coming up with no trace, I have tried looking it up on GR with no luck either.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Corinne and that's great news re the certs,so glad they were the right 1's!!

You can when ordering certs ask for them to be cross checked against parents names when ordering online i believe you just tick the boss and indicate the cross check.They will not send if their is no match.
