Member Since: October 2004 Posts: 34 Send Message	Thanks for your help last night! on looking at the documents I have this morning, I have found I have the wedding certificate, William is listed with father George (I am guessing grandfather!) and proffesion labourer, which would fit with all the census, I think I will have to try to find a birth certificate if I am going to find out his parents. and in the meantime will trace all of george and harriets children to see if I can find a suspect. 	Tina Hi Tina!the 1891 Census for William and his wife lists his birthplace as Barcombe Sussex.The 1881 lists NK Sussex which stands for not known in Sussex.Things were very different in those days and people were not always aware of where they were born especially if they moved alot. Well - I never even looked at that marriage - I just expected them to have married in Cheshire ! Its weird - the 1851 census had James aged 5 and Mary aged 1mnth yet ............ the 1861 census has James aged 10 and Mary aged 10 I'm confused ?!?! Angie

Member Since: October 2004 Posts: 34 Send Message	Hi I hope you can help, as I am trying to find the names of the parents of William Nicholas b 1848 sussex, I have asked others to look for him in 1851 with no luck, he is listed in 1881 with a wrong transcription of name (Nicholos) his birthplace is listed as NK Sussex, I am not sure what this means, and then I have been unable to trace him back.
