	Elizabeth Think i can see the problem with the 1841 parts of St Lukes Middlesex are missing...and Finsbury.So this means they were either lost or damaged.So this is the reason i believe we are not seeing them on the 1841. Will search the 1851 now.

Also, please look up Charlotte Westall who married Francis Smith, on 1901 census - she was born Sonning, Oxfordshire 1824c, I have her on the other censuses. Thank you, Sandra

	Michelle Can you help with this one ? ! I have Marriage-30 August 1825 at St Lukes Old Street Finsbury London Elisha BROWNJOHN Sarah STANDING I cannot find them in the 1841 or 1851 census' on FMP I think Elisha belongs in my tree but the only bapt I have is for one in 1794 in Kingsclere Hants-is it the same one ? Brownjohn is often reduced to Brown-just to make things harder !!

Third-hand anecdotal evidence says to escape debt, but it seems and awful long way to go for that, it may well have been sailing ships then. This just adds a another tantalising mystery. 	Hi Jayne If they came in from France they will not be on the Incoming lists i have access to. These were only for outside European waters..ie Aus,USA or in your case Buenos Aires.So shame they didn't come direct from there. Only Troke's showing coming from Buenos Aires were listed as English and arrived 1901 and were Thomas Troke aged 37 and Ellen Troke aged 31 and Selene Troke aged 7 and Ernest aged 5...all listed as English.They all arrived 1901 in Southampton UK Incoming Passenger Lists, 1878-1960 about Thomas Troke Name: Thomas Troke Birth Date: abt 1864 Age: 37 Port of Departure: River Plate, South America Arrival Date: 11 Aug 1901 Port of Arrival: Southampton, England Ports of Voyage: Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Rio de Janeiro, Bahia, Pernambuco, Lisbon, Vigo Ship Name: Thames Search Ship Database: View the 'Thames' in the 'Passenger Ships and Images' database Shipping Line: Royal Mail Steam Packet Company Ltd Official Number: 98056 Would they link to your family at all?Maybe you had other Troke's that went to Buenos Aires as well?

They were THOMAS TROKE born in Exeter c. 1835 His wife JANE possibly born about 1836/7 OR c1846 in Liverpool (depends on which census you look at!) Children - CAROLINE LUCY b 1866 (or Lucy Caroline as on marriage cert) born Oswestry, Salop MARY ELLEN b. 1868 Welshpool Montgomeryshire Wales GEORGE THOMAS b. 1869/70 also Welshpool They had another child in Paris in 1883, is there any way to know when they went there? I wonder if you can help my long standing brick wall - I have anecdotal evidence to suggest that my gt grandfather THOMAS TROKE, his wife JANE TROKE and children LUCY CAROLINE (or Caroline Lucy) MARY ELLEN and GEORGE THOMAS went to Buenos Aires some time between 1871 and 1883 when another child arrived in Paris. I do believe that they came back to the UK between South America and France but this is 3rd hand so can't be sure about any of this. Is there any way of finding evidence for these journeys? regards Jayne
