Thanks very much for finding George Long and Alfred Long in 1st World War. Is there any way of checking the parents to verify they are my Long family. The parents should be George Long 1870 Burbage, Wilts and Nellie Smith, Reading 1867.

I got confirmation from the birth certificate of Elizabeth Jane Bowler that George Bowler and Emily Emelia Heley were her parents. So your last search for me was correct and they were married in Barrow in Furness in 1882 (i'm still waiting for that cert to be delivered).

I'm also sure that the Emelia Heley you found born in 1864 in Newport Pagnell is the same person.

What i'd like you to help me with this time is i've got a search record for a George Bowler age 0 in the 1861 census living at 2 St Leonards Road, Poplar, Bow, but when i try to retrieve the page it shows a totally different record.

Please can you see if you can find this record for me

Parents William Rees and Cath Burton who married in Cardiff in 1852
Any BDM infor for Wm and Cath and any children would be appreciated.

Mary Mc Connell b cir 1866 in Melbourne. Parents James Mc Connell and Margaret Tonner. Other names in records were Toner or Tower. I am not sure where parents born but cir 1840. Mary had a sister named Ellen. These may be Australian records, so I don't know if you have access to that information.

Would you please look up for me siblings of my Grandma, Gladys Victoria Long born 1902 Wandsworth. Parents were George Long 1870 from Burbage, Wiltshire and Nellie Smith 1867 from Reading. Her siblings, according to 1901 census were -
Eliza Long born Bermondsey 1893
Alfred Long born Kennington 1895c
George Long born Kennington 1896c
Maybe siblings Alfred and George died in the war as I have no information on them.
Edith Long born 1900 Wandsworth -I know that she married Reginald and lived in Tooting area.

Then there were two other siblings Dorothy, who married Richard Smith and lived in Wantage, Berkshire and Nellie Long who died in Colliers Wood, 1974, she lived near Dorothy (Dolly) in later years. The father George Long died in 1905, so maybe they were children of Frederick Breese (2nd marriage of Nellie Smith).
