There are a 3 possible BMD's...which is the 1 you sent for?the 1869?I suspect the 1871 1 is the daughter of Charles and Violet?I am having trouble finding a marriage for Aaron and Martha...so wondering if Mary had her mother's surname???I will look into the marriage it must be mistranscribed.

I think you need to go by the marriage cert and if the certificate says Aaron is father then he must be.Although what i think is strange is the census records for Aaron.The 1871 census has a daughter Anne listed as 9 years old?If Mary was born 1869 she should have been on the 1871 and roughly 2??

Interesting here....look at the 1901 of Aaron and Martha...look who is staying with them...Ben Winder and Mary Mangham's son James!listed as Grandson to Aaron and Martha. So there is your evidence...pretty good evidence!

hi michelle i did find most of the census you have found .
and i found a mary ann living with charles mangham who i did think was her father but i went to all st church and that is when i found out her father was aaron mangham when she marride ben winder i got a copy of the marrage entre.with charles not been her father i looked in archives at rotherham and lookedfor aaaron and all his family he did have a child mary ann in 1869.but also i found out a son aaron was born april same year .he died following year .which made me think with all hischildren except mary ann been baptised in wath she wernt his .
i then looked in bmd for mary ann and a birth came up for her sept 1869 roth so this is when i sent for birth cert and a bartholomuw mangham and catherine markham was her parents on it.
so i had a marrage with aaron on has father .
charles his brother living next doorwith mary ann has his daughter .
everything you have said istrue about the marrage cert she was 19 when she got marride to ben .and bart mangham and ctherine on birth cert .
anything you find on both familys i would appreciate it will help to double check them all .and thank you very much.

Your key to getting the correct census records for Mary is the marriage cert.Have you got the marriage cert of her marriage to Ben Winder?You listed the witnesses to me so i presume you have it?Was Aaron listed on there as father?Could you let me know please.Sorry to ask again but i need to have the facts to help you.What was her age listed as on the marriage cert?Also do you require census info on Ben Winder?
