I cannot say how Edward died. This would be listed on the death certificate.It might be an idea to get this cert and see who registered the death.This would hopefully then show for sure whether this is the correct husband for Esther.

Then i looked for a death of Edward after 1881 and before her 2nd marriage in 1895. I looked in Wandsworth area as this is where she was on the 1901 census.

I wondered if this could be Edward and as his 1st son also had the Frederick middle name, could be possible?

I have been working on yours and this is what i have found.

Ok here is the 1881 of Hester-Esther-Florence...goes under a few names!She is listed as married here but no husband is present in the home.There was a little confusion as her age was listed as older than the 1901 census when she was Willard.I have compared both census records and i am certain this is Hester.I also believe her age on the 1881 to be the accurate age.I think she listed herself as younger on the 1901 as her 2nd husband was younger than her.

Hi Edna!I think i maybe able to help you!I believe i have found Sarah Jane and her family on the 1881 Wales Census.Jones is never an easy surname to trace and even more difficult a Jones in Wales!
For your information here is the definition of a Carman:

Carmen were often employed by railway companies for local deliveries and collections of goods and parcels. Modern day van driver. Also sometimes someone who drove horse-drawn trams was called a Carman

I am not having much luck with this one.Did it say on the marriage cert whether either of the fathers were deceased? Also as i am so desperate for any lead with this 1 who were the witnesses to the marriage?They may hold a clue?

Don't know if you can help but I have hit a brick wall. My husband's gt grandmother was Sarah Jane Jones b @ 1869, Thats the problem. She married George James Bridgeman in 1891. On 1891 census it states she was born Gilwin, possibly Gilwern, S Wales, 1901 census says Dyserth/Barmouth, writing not clear (must point out on 1901 census name is transcribed as BRIDGENA). Her father was called John Jones and on the marriage cert it states his occupation as Carman? She married George Bridgeman in Kentish Town, St Pancras, Middlesex. I have spent the last 6 months trying to trace Sarah Jane's roots. Would be ever so grateful if you could help me with my quest.

Re: the macquire/roberts
I have just found out info you require re their marriage. Robert Keith Mugquire aged 27 was a Fitter and living at 32 Lampton Road Hounslow. His father was Frederick Mugquire and he was a bricklayer. Flora Roberts aged 22 was a domestic servant living at 22 Bath Road Hounslow and her father was George Roberts a Private Soldier. I hope this helps. Thank you Nichola

Sorry after I posted I realised I hadn't given you enough info. It said Robert was born in Croydon Surrey on 1911 census he was aged 31 years. Flora Alice Roberts was born London Hommerton?? she was aged 27 years. The father's names were registered as George Roberts and Frederick Mugquire. I haven't got certificate but someone else has seen certificate and gave me this information. Several of my relatives have tried in the past to investigate history but all have failed so thank you for trying. Nichola

I have tried freebmd and findmypast plus GR but to no avail. I cannot find the birth of Robert Keith Macquire (1880) died in 1937. He married a Flora Alice Grace Roberts in Dec 1906 at Brentford Middlesex. On 1911 census they are living in Fulham but by 1919 they have moved to Croydon. He was in the navy and was a marine stoker in Croydon. I am also having problems trying to find Flora A G Roberts no birth details. On their marriage records it says Mugquire but this hasn't helped me either. I know about their children but cannot go back any further. Please could you help me. Thank you Nichola
