Hi Michelle

Using Ancestry's free access to Military Records I came across the records of:-

Robert Percy KIMBREY
He enlisted in the 1st Border Reg in 1894 age 18yrs and 5 mnths

Hid mother is given as "Jenny Kimbrey" living at 21 London ?St Paddington

His year of birth would have been c1876

I have findmypast but cannot find any trace of him in the BMDs or the census-1881/1891 or 1901

Can you find him anywhere?!!

Thanks for the further info the family i had found on the 1891 is the correct family-although Lottie is listed as Sophia?maybe her middle name?but everything matches and Harry is listed as Henry-very common this use of Henry and often works the otherway round too.I have an ancestor who swapped from Henry to Harry through the census's!!

I'm not sure if you can help me and what records you have access to. I am trying to trace my mothers brother who was adopted. He was actually adopted by his mothers new partners sister and that was the last the family saw of him. I have quite a few details;

Adopted by Reginald and Eleanor Robinson nee Wirthmiller in 1941.
Name changed to John David Robinson.
Sent to Wellesley Correction School in Northumberland in 1955ish.
Married Violet Shaw in Northumberland Central 27/04/1959 whilst in the army. Apparently they had 6 Children, possibly the first in 1955!! I have no details about children names etc. I have no idea where to go from here.

hi michelle i had printed all you had put on here off to find that kate harnwell is what i was looking for as alfred birth and his age for marriage came out right and now i will sort out to get the papers for all of this just one thing that is now missing is kate husband is there any chance you may be able to find him more his first name and then i can put my tree roots to rest xxxx lesley

james skelly married a ann nolan she was from mosbro rotherham yorks .
he was born 1854 kerry ireland
he is in durham in 1871 census living with sister jane whelan born co kildare and he is aged 18.
second could you look for george prudhoe 1823 durham his wife is ann born 1822 kytton durham anything you may find i will be happy with and thank you very much.

hi the harnwell's i do know that it is susan chandler and alfred harnwell and susan mother was jessie and that the marriage for susan is in 1911 and west ham and canning town susan had a alfred in 1911 reg in 1912 also there is a thomas,may muad queenie and a susan and her death as a baby was in same year as birth and a andrew death was in 1955 and also a dorothy and on the marriage lines for alfred his father is also alfred and the address is for 80a lordship lane east dulwich dis of cambwell i know this a lot to take in but this now all i have to go on xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx lesley forgot you are one bril person with your help

James Gaunt born c1814 married Mary Trueman (Truman) in 1861. Had son John Gaunt born 1845 who married Caroline Shilvock born 1846.

On 1851 Census a daughter Ann aged 11 was mentioned along with Betsey aged 9.

On 1871 Census Ann is now an Ann Houghton aged 31 along with a John Houghton? is this her son/partner?

Also on the 1861 Census Betsey is now Elizabeth is that normal practice?

Are there are further records before 1851 of James Gaunt?

Regarding the Galvin side Eileen (my mother in law) told me the details of the births and deaths but no certificates. He father and mothers details were correct apart from the possibility Flinn could have been spelt differently.

I have a Harry Binley,born c1860 and I need to find where he was born to be sure I have the right guy.

He married Ann Maria / Annie Mortiboys on 2/4/1885 in Kings Norton , Warwickshire .

They had children , Annie 1886, Harry 1887,
Lottie 1888, John 1890, Mabel 1894, Percy 1900.

Hopefully the 1891 and 1901 census will show where Harry was born .

My research suggests Sussex but 2 of his Grandchildren , now in thier 80's think he was born in Newport , South Wales .
