WOW !I've been able to add so much to my tree now - some gaps filled in :)

On the 1901 Census for George Parkey could you possibly:

1. give me the order of the names from the actual census return - just trying to work out who Mary Elizabeth Packey aged 7mnths belongs to

and

2. does the census actually show George's wife as Miriam? It' just that I've checked on Cheshire BMD, FreeBMD and Ancestry BMD - for a marriage for George & Miriam - but can't find anything ! I did find a marriage for a George Parkey and Elizabeth Hague - but I think that could be George Jnr ?!?

The 1841 there are a few Davies families living near each other.The 1's you mentioned earlier look to be living next door on the record i have from the site i use.

Davies maybe a common surname of the area but some of the above must be related.

For mother Mary's name you will need to obtain the birth cert of 1 of the younger children.

I couldn't see a marriage also so maybe they didn't marry?
The census image was in order of age so parents 1st then Maud,Sarah,Frederick then Mary(Baby)and lastly servants.

As John and Mary named a daughter Anna do you think Anna Davies next door aged 60 is John's mother?

Would you have any birth and marriage records for John please - and Mary if possible.

Would you have marriage record for David Davies born c 1861 to Mary H circa 1863?

Could you do 1881 which may have John and David still living together in same house or maybe David had left by then.

Are you able to go back beyond 1841 or are these the submitted records you referred to?

Could you look at the 1901 census for George Parkey Junr who was born in 1880 - there is a marriage for him to Elizabeth Hague in 1900 - so they should both appear on the 1901 census.

Hi Michelle

I have a condundrum for you. Herman(n) Davis, son of Isaac and Clare nee Belcher. Born c1859, married(?) Eliza Dowle (Dowel) and had 3 children - Maud, Eliza and Mary. They are on the 1891 and 1901 census'. I cannot find any trace of Herman or Eliza's birth or their marriage certs and although I have found Eliza's death details I cannot find Hermans. I believe they were born and lived in London.

Any help or tips would be gratefully accepted.

The submitted records were the birth's for John and Mary.What you may need to do is to make a call or a visit to the where the parish records are kept for the birthplaces of John and Mary.I presume by the 1841 i saw Carmarthan Records Office?They would hold parish records for the area.I do not think you should go by the submitted records as they can be very wrong sometimes and its too risky in tree making to make guesses.The point you are at in your tree means more contacting records offices and looking online at OPC sites-Online Parish Sites where their are people who have records for the different parishes-christening,marriages,deaths.Before 1837 their were no certs of record of birth and births were put in parish registers.Same with marriages.
You have given me quite alot to do and i have to work at my job this aft and tonight.I have a few waiting before yours so if you could wait till tomorrow i will have a look.

John Smith and Ellen edden were their parents .John born Woodford Halse 1855/56 Ellen Edden born Eydon 1851/52.They had 7 children allborn Eydon Daventry and whitchurch Stratford on Avon .In 1901 John and Ellen living Gorse Barn Cottages Attleborough Nuneaton but nothing after that except John appears as next of Kin on williams war medical record living at same address.John was a farm labourer in1901 as most of family were .4 children were Attleborough 1901 .James i think was on a farm with an Uncle Harry smith im not sure ,
Would love to find them along with John and Ellen.

Hi again.Couldn't see your thread-moved from page 3 and wanted to look into yours again.A couple of questions.

1 James Bowers-have you details from his marriage to Agnes?father's name and occupation?witness names?age at marriage

2 Have you his death record?Does it state where he was born?and age at death?

I do not have World Access i only have access to Scotland and England and Wales and Channel Island Census Records.There are James Bowers on the census records but without cert info re place of birth would be hard to know which is him.

Also have you looked for a birth in Aus?Or if not born in Aus asked Cherilyn on the Records Office Board to check for records of when he entered Aus?

Let me know what you can from above and also Agnes info if you have it.

You really could do with an Electoral Roll lookup for the family.Or 192.com lookup.I would advise you to put a thread with all details on the Records Board to ask if anyone has access to Electoral Roll for this period.Of course the eagerly awaited 1911 will answer alot of your questions.

If no luck on the boards sites such as Find My Past and 192.com have records of address etc.But you do have to buy credits to view.

Thanks for advice.I don't know if John had a middle name .The War medical record dates between march 1915 when William was 29 .The form says Short service with what looks likes it has been stamped special army order transfered to army reserves .Serviced ended about 1918 due to ill health.Wonder why he joined so late and how he got in as it looks like he had heart problems and something wrong with his back .As for children their names were .
