Thank you very much, at the moment it makes no sense. I think I'll have to take a hard copy and map it out. As I have said thanks again |

Hmm, that's interesting. Maria, her mother is on the 1841 with an army man. I have assumed this is the right Maria as she is from Ireland and the birth year is out but that's par for the course with the 1841 census. So perhaps what I have there is the wrong thread, if so then I don't know where they are in 1841. Not finding any sign of him on the 1841 census. Thinking about it, the Maria I had for 1841 can't be right because her daughter's Martha, Maria & Cecelia aren't with her, my bad... but maybe they're connected (somewhere) so ignore Joseph Oates Travers that was obviously a red herring. |

Good Morning Summer from Down Under,Thank you for that. I think I agree with you about Oates Travers, I tried to find them through the son William also born in Chelsea. I have his ( William ) wedding certificate from the GRO and in it, it states that his full name is William Daniel age 20 still living in Chelsea age 20 and his father (Daniel )is a deceased Blacksmith that was in 1884, so he was dead by then .William was listed as a Engineer. So it's back to the drawing board .---I think I agree with FairThorn about the birth that he/she found is the right one . I'll apply to the GRO for that. |
