My kids dread the day I get Hot Matches as they know I will be scanning the list for ages. Husband, dad and mum smile and say "thats nice", but nan who is now 94 is great. She asks me every time I see her if Ive found anymore on her family. Makes it all worth while as I get to hear all the old stories - again!! |

Several years ago I met a man who was doing family history and he was telling me how interesting it was. I thought "How boring this man is obsessed" |

My partner has no interest in family history but is more than happy for me to do it. If I get it wrong, I will get a hug from him but he cant get excited for me when I go further back. He thinks the present - and the future - are the things to be concentrating on. |

Thought it was just my family. They make remarks like 'thats interesting' or 'let me know how your getting on' but I know they think I'm crazy. One family member laughs at me but I don't care I'm enjoying myself better than watching daytime T.V. Pat |

Blimey! I thought it was just me who got disinterest from some of my family... or comments like 'they're just a load of names to me'... |

I also have a family who are`nt interested, BUT i love tracing the family roots, you don`t know where your going if you don`t know where you came from. Also if you go to get a message from a Medium, if the Medium comes up with family names to give you a message, then because you`ve traced your family, you can accept alot more from the Medium. I have found & i`m in contact with alot of relations i did`nt know existed, its Fantastic, BEST REGARDS & LUCK TO YOU ALL. LUV Harry |

I have to add my bit: my family think I have totally lost it ....bit mad!!!! but it makes me all the more determined even when I hit a barrier, as I have at the moment. My Dad left me some scribblings years ago and I just went from there. |
