Vicky there are quite a lot of the Essex records missing if I remember rightly. My family from Essex and had an awful job with some of those. Also Essex does not like to have there records online!!!! so I was told. |

I don't think the Eliza Harold on the census of 1841 etc is the one you are looking for because she appers on the 1881 census in the workhouse and your Eliza was married by then. |

On the 1851 census Eliza's mother, Ann is a widow and down as daughter to the head of the house Benjamin Tabourn 1796 Staughton, Huntingdonshire. |

the 1881 census say's she was born Ashdon, cambridgeshire buy the 1871 says Ashdon, Essex |

The census's I've listed are going back from the 1861 census that has an Eliza Harold working as a servant. Looking at the original it states she is a Dairymaid. Therefore I don't think this is the one you are looking for. |
